Freelance Designer/Animator/Editor
Welch Labs creates compelling math and science content. The Welch Labs YouTube channel has earned 850k+ subscribers, and videos have been translated into 25+ languages. As a Freelance Designer/Animator/Editor, you’ll create graphics and animations for Welch Labs long and short form videos and books. In this role, you’ll work closely with founder Stephen Welch and the team to create high quality content.
Responsibilities
Create technical graphics and animations for Welch Labs short and long form content using Adobe Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere.
Edit narration audio for short and long form content
Edit short form videos for TikTok, YouTube shorts, and Instagram
Design and iterate on video thumbnails.
Video editing for sponsor integrations
Design and layout posters and book chapters in using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign.
Optional: code technical animations in Python/Manim.
Requirements
3+ years experience in Adobe creative suite
1+ years working on team or with clients
Portfolio showing work on 2+ projects

Hours vary project by project, averages 25-50 hours/month
