Freelance Manim Animator

Welch Labs creates compelling math and science content. The Welch Labs YouTube channel has earned 600k+ subscribers, and videos been translated into 25+ languages. As a Freelance Manim Animator, you’ll create graphics and animations for Welch Labs long and short form videos and books. In this role, you’ll work closely with founder Stephen Welch to create high quality content.

Responsibilities

  • Given storyboards and technical direction, create technical graphics and animations for Welch labs short and long form content using Manim.

  • Submit animations as pull requests to Welch Labs animation github repo

  • Iterate and refine animations w/ feedback from Stephen and the team to maximize clarity and create beautiful aesthetics

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in Python

  • 1+ year experience in Manim

  • 1+ years working on team or with clients

  • Portfolio showing work on 2+ projects
